CouchSurfer (TM) vs surfer vs BeWelcomer vs ? ...
A current the definition of 'couchsurfer' is almost synonymous with a person who uses a hospitality network to travel or alternatively an active member of a hospitality exchange community. However, this leads to problems trying to use neutral language on a this wiki - CouchSurfer (TM) is a registered trademark of the couchsurfing corporation. How should we (and how should we advise other editors) to refer to a person who uses a hospitality network to travel or a an active member of said community (without using a registered trademark)? Is it appropriate, for example, to call a person who uses BeWelcome to travel a BeWelcomer? Or could we refer to them both generally as surfers? (or something else). --Ashuri (talk) 15:24, 7 March 2013 (CET)
