8 February 2013 The new volunteer driven and open licenced Wikivoyage unter the roof of Wikipedia is alive for some time. So our former links to Wikitravel link to Wikivoyage no. The Template for country headers and the Template for City headers are changed accordingly. The old way of linking will work with the new destination as well until all the old links are cleaned up.

20 December 2012 BeWelcome moved from Google Maps to OpenStreetMap, and thus "closer to becoming completely independent from using commercial services" and more committed to "privacy and non-profit projects."
3 December 2012 - After 3 years it's finally "official", after this month the CouchSurfing Wiki will probably be inaccessible to the general public. We took some time to make some daily couchwiki dumps accessible to the public.
