| And this is one example on how it's been used in the past by this group: '''ADAPT!!!!!!'''

| | |
| Following the confirmed intention from the admins of this website to delete the content of the wiki that is not travelguide-like (which means most of the content). Someone finally opened a couchsurfing wiki for all other content. It is there: couchwiki.org

| To see the details of the wiki battle between the admins and the users, visit the wiki group. In particular those threads:

| Now two possibilities:
| |
| | |
| * You want to share information about Hamburg, tips, places to visit,
| |
| * You want to share community information, or anything else that does not fall in the first possibility:
| |
| | |
| In the second case, you should NOT use the CS wiki, cause your content would be deleted in time. You should use couchwiki.org, that is meant to have all sort of content.

| In the first case, my advice is still that you do NOT use the CS travelguide wiki if it ever sees the light of day. I got good reasons: It has a very restrictive licence that makes its content unusable, in particular by the contributors themselves. And most important: There is a participative travelguide that already exists and that is very successful and that already has a flexible licence. It is called wikitravel. They are both based on the same software so they are identical to use. It is a waste of energy to write the Bible twice. So you should not use couchwiki.org as well :).

| So, what I'm going to do right now, is take all the pages that I have created on the CS wiki and move them over there. Some of those pages have been edited by some members of this group and I need permission from the following users before I do that:

| '''LIST OF EDITORS'''

| In the absence of massmailing tool, I find it faster to do that here, while spreading the news.
