A host is a member of a hospitality exchange network who is willing to offer another member of the network a place to stay or sleep in their home. Hosts are typically willing to host other members under the pretext of cultural exchange, sharing, and mutual respect but freeloading is frowned upon. Hosts should not expect money or payment for their services. However, they may be reimbursed by their guests for any expenses, such as food.
