Mikael showing around two features — wants to ship soon, but doesn’t want to decide on this call (better async on slack or deciding with more focused group of people):
Feedback/questions on “experiences feature”
- Other gender, follow up with slack link
- 25% members of the sites.
- People might feel its inconvenient if in one experience-pair there are “mismatching” recommendations
Feedback/questions on “i18n feature”
- Most people who are on such platform, they expect to use English.
- Chagai just wants to see things go live earlier :-) 
=> Let’s decide by the end of next week if these are ready to roll. Mikael wants to hear Noah and Hlib still because they’ve been working on this a lot with us. :-) 
Overview about situation with WS

Mahria:
- In WS since 2016
- Android app was pretty abandoned
- Attitudes of board changes, they tried to get more money
- Request for proposals to write new apps
- I estimated the service costs => 5K
- They released new app => changed it to be paid
- I wrote them that this isn’t good decision; there are lots of people people who can’t afford.
- The community didn’t feel heard in the process. And in something like Warmshowers community “owns” 
- 1/3 of users interact with the platform 
- We gave feedback, but never heard back. The way we maintained the app, sometimes we noticed some changes randomly.
    - Communication wasn’t open.
    - Prolly not everyone but we have some.
- Trying to decide on the message to show people who open the app now, because that’s the first time people will hear about this situation.
    - Can you send them push notifications? Perhaps can, but likely not everyone who has app has added that permission since we started asking only recently.
    - Open letter from volunteers WS abandoned?
    - TR to introduce Cyclists circle.
- Gitter; main maintainer Sami(?). Planning to meet Tue 11am with Maria to talk about this. 
- Main maintainer’s WS account was deleted. :-( They’re waiting for reply from WS.
- “Open identify to warm showers” FB group for discussion right now
- Running trustroots for WS app only, mobile app-only hospex?
    - Separate instance of TR for this?
    - Same instance (and thus same login) but still separate opt-in into Warmshowers app?
    
- We need something that is quick, something that makes it easy to join.
- I don’t want to be authoritative, but I want to give people a way to get here to Trustroots.
- Things that cyclists are used to, we should add those. A couple months ago my first impression was that compared to WS, I felt good  in small community, and TR felt wider.
- Sandboxing was in TRs DNA from the beginning; it could be good feature to add now?

- Cyclists, vs Touring cyclists circle name?
    - Or add a very specific “Warmshowers community” circle?
    - From TR perspective Cyclists might be enough, but it’s fair that touring group might make it easier for Warmshowers folks to join
 
- Pull data about circles; “many people join many circles” claim
