Editing Karlsruhe Cheap Eats

Food in Karlsruhe is generally a little more expensive than in other parts of [[Germany]]. Expect 6-10 EUR for a pizza, and 4 EUR for a Döner Kebap.

The turkish restaurants around the university tend to be a little cheaper, some even have student discounts (and usually don't ask for a proof that you're a student).

There is a little local chain, consistnig of 4 restaurants that have pretty cheap food.
These are:

* '''Die Kippe''', ''Gottesauer Straße'' close to ''Durlacher Tor''
* '''Cafe Galerie''' in ''Durlach'' right at the tram station ''Auer Straße''.

All of these have breakfast all day from 2,90 EUR (without drinks) and 8 different daily menus (at least one vegetarian) for 3,90 EUR. It's simple food, but the servings are huge.

== Die Pinte ==
is basically a pub, with absolutely cheap drinks, i.e. 2 EUR for a 0,5l beer. They also have some food, like huge sandwiches for 3 EUR.
