1) It is better to ask for hospitality directly to the people rather than leaving an open message in the group. In this way you’ll have the chance to know better who your potential host is we are sure it is your concern to know where you’ll end up sleeping!).<br />
Also, you won’t give the idea of being just someone looking for a free place to stay.<br />

2) Once you selected some people, be clear in your request; specify when you are arriving and when you are leaving.<br />

3) Be sure you thoroughly read your potential host’s profile. Do not ask for things that are already included in it!<br />

4) Have your own profile properly filled out, including some pictures. Let your perspective host be able to understand what kind of person you are.<br />

5) Explain your plans. Are you coming for a cultural visit or to enjoy the nightlife? Do you intend to sleep late or wake up early? ... These types of information will help the host decide whether he/she will take you in or not.<br />

6) Write your couch request with the right advance notice. Some people write requests several months before they arrive (it can be too much) or just a couple of days before (too short notice). A 2-4 weeks notice would be ideal.<br />

7) If you want to surf together with your partner or friends, specify if they are registered at CS as well, and eventually add a link to their profiles. If they aren't registered, have them sign up. People like to know who will be sleeping under their roof!<br />

Granada es realmente una ciudad no demasiado grande, en la que moverse a pie es casi la mejor opción. <br />
Prácticamente todos los puntos de interés para un viajero se pueden alcanzar andando. <br />

Granada is a small city, almost everything is practicable by foot and it’s also one of the best options,<br /> especially if you don’t want to get annoyed by parking a car! <br />

La ciudad no está realmente preparada para el ciclista. No existen carriles bici excepto en contadas zonas en la periferia. Tampoco existen aparcamientos específicos para bicicletas. <br />

The City is not well fitted for cycling, they are few cycling pists and in some areas it ‘s quite dangerous to bike the streets. They aren’t bikes parking. <br />
Outside from Granada they are many user, exclusively for sports activities / mountain bike.<br />

Moverse en moto es muy sencillo y práctico. Se evitan la mayoría de atascos y existen multitud de zonas de aparcamiento específicas para las motos. <br />

Use a motorbike or motor cycle is very convenient; it avoids you to get stacked in the traffic jam. <br />

Moverse en coche es posible pero se convierte fácilmente en un pequeño suplicio. <br />
Los parkings suelen tener plazas disponibles entre semana. <br />

It’s a bit difficult to use the car in the centre, mostly because of the little streets, of the dense traffic, parking problems. And if you can avoid to pollute, especially in summer, you will be a good example. <br />
