''''s-Hertogenbosch''' (Den Bosch) is a city, situated in the middle-south of the Netherlands. It is the capital of the province of North-Brabant. The city is home to approximately 140,000 people. The city's name is originated from the forest of the Dukes where it is built on. This explains the name 's-Hertogenbosch which literally means "The Duke's Forest". The city centre features an oldtown full of splendour: pittoresk lane ways, historic buildings and a cozy central marketplace. Unique is the 'Bossche Broek': a protected natural reserve just a short stroll from the oldtown. Den Bosch is a diverse destination with a high quality set of year-round events.
