A l'instar des groupes CS de ville dans l'Europe entière, qui sont bien développés, permettant de faire naître et faire vivre pour bon nombres d'entre eux des communautés locales de Couchsurfers, les groupes région en France ne sont pas en reste ! On compte désormais entre 250 et 600 membres dans chacun des groupes régionaux, pas mal d'entre eux sont très actifs, grâce notamment aux CSeurs habitant les petites villes et la campagne, les forums régionaux constituent un lieu de rencontre pour tous ces membres mais aussi aux voyageurs ne passant pas par les grandes villes.
