[http://wwoof.co.nz/ WWOOF New Zealand] has information on WWOOFing opportunities in New Zealand In order to work and to get taxed properly in New Zealand you need to obtain a tax number from the '''Inland Revenue/Te Tare Taake'''. You can apply for this whilst in New Zealand or before you leave your home country. Don't worry this isn't as hard as it sounds: # Download the Tax Number Application Form (IR596) from the [http://www.ird.govt.nz Inland Revenue/Te Tari Taake website] # Print out and complete the application form you have downloaded. Please note you need to have a permanent address in New Zealand to get your tax number. # Get a photocopy of your passport and attach to the application form. # Either post or fax your application to NZ Inland Revenue.
