* By Train (TER):
It will take you 10 mn to walk from the train station to the center of town. Walk along the Boulevard Maréchal Foch just acoss the road from the train station and you’ll arrive at “Place Morgan” (  “place” is the French word for “square ), very close to the historical center. Salon is between Marseille and Avignon on the TER  railway-line. There aren’t many trains, but it’s enough if you are not in a hurry. The train station in Miramas ( 15mns’car drive from Salon) is a good alternative if you need a wider  choice of trains to Avignon, Montpellier, Marseille.

* By TGV (very fast trains) :
The nearest TGV station is Aix TGV about 25 km away. There are shuttles salon to aix, see here for time schedules. Avignon TGV is is about 40mn  away by car, but it can be a good idea if you’re travelling to or from north, and parking fees are cheaper and easier to use.

* By car:
A7 highway/motorway from Marseilles, Aix or Lyon. A54 Highway/Motorway from  Arles, Montpellier, Barcelona. You can also drive on roads in  about 35mn (Aix) 50 mn (Arles, Avignon) 35 to 50 mn if you come from  Marseilles using only the  free part ( leave the highway at Berre).

* By carpooling:
You can find a driver or passenger to share the ride and cut on travel cost. In France carpooling is very popular and is called "covoiturage". <br />

* By plane:
From “international Airport in Marignane  (“Marseille-Provence-Marignane ») or mp2 (low-cost) same airport.[[http://www.mp.aeroport.fr/fra/acces/acces_bus.jsp#salon]].
It’s cheaper to park a car here for a few days than in TGV train stations. You might also use the shuttle to or from Aix-TGV, Marseille or even to Salon ( fewer ones).

The hills  around Salon (20 to 30 minute’s walk, a few minutes by bike. ( Ask your CS hosts)
