== Transportation ==

Public transit in the City of Montreal is run by the STM (Societé de Transport de Montréal).  This includes bus, and subway transport.    The main STM home page is [http://www.stm.info/en].  

In summer you can also use the bike-sharing system [https://secure.bixi.com/map/ Bixi]. You can pay:
	•	In the bus directly, cash only, exact change - ONLY FOR ONE TRIP
	•	In the metro, cash only, from a ticket booth attendant
	•	In the metro, with a debit card, credit card, or cash, from a ticket vending machine

With a ticket you have valid unlimited correspondances for buses within one hour following the validation of your ticket, but you cannot re-enter the metro once you exit the paid area unless if you purchase an extra ticket. 

	•	 1 trip: $3.25

	•	 2 trips: $6.00
One single user.
	•	 10 trips: $27.00
- Not valid for departure from Laval and Longueuil. 

	•	 Unlimited Evening: $5.00
6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- This pass must be used once before midnight. 

	•	 1-day pass : $10.00
24 hours
The following fares are also accepted aboard the <b>Aéroport Mtl-Trudeau (747) </b> : 1-day pass, Unlimited Weekend, 3-day pass, Weekly pass, Monthly pass, 4-month pass.

	•	 Unlimited Weekend : $13.75
From Friday 4 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
The following fares are also accepted aboard the <b>Aéroport Mtl-Trudeau (747) </b>: 1-day pass, Unlimited Weekend, 3-day pass, Weekly pass, Monthly pass, 4-month pass.

	•	 3-day pass: $18.00
Consecutive. Until 11:59 p.m. the third day.
- The following fares are also accepted aboard the <b>Aéroport Mtl-Trudeau (747) </b>: 1-day pass, Unlimited Weekend, 3-day pass, Weekly pass, Monthly pass, 4-month pass. 

	•	 Weekly pass: $25.75
From Monday to Sunday until 11:59 p.m.
-	Not valid for departure from Laval and Longueuil. 
The following fares are also accepted aboard the <b>Aéroport Mtl-Trudeau (747) </b>: 1-day pass, Unlimited Weekend, 3-day pass, Weekly pass, Monthly pass, 4-month pass.


	•	 Monthly pass: $83.00
From 1st to last day of the month
Not valid for departure from Laval and Longueuil.

- The last metro leave between 00:30am and 1:30am depending on the day, line and station

The following fares are also accepted aboard the Aéroport Mtl-Trudeau (747) : : 1-day pass, Unlimited Weekend, 3-day pass, Weekly pass, Monthly pass, 4-month pass. 
Only coins are accepted (no bank bills). When you use cash to pay aboard the 747, you receive a fare-card valid for a 24-hour period.

<b>Taxis:</b>
Taxis are also easily found on most of the main streets in the downtown area. They are metered.
