IP moderator code of conduct

[[Wiki.trustroots.org]] is an independent wiki with information for people who are actively exchanging hospitality.

This is a code of conduct for the international politcs group.

General moderator code

  • An open subgroup for moderator communication should be opened. Moderators agree to use this channel only to communicate with other moderators. The moderators agree to set the communication of this group to "instant updates".
  • Whenever moderators do any "moderator action", they publish it in the subgroup.
  • Moderators must ignore personal mail from other members requesting action to be taken against someone. On another hand, it is perfectly possible for any member to post in the "moderation subgroup" to attract the attention of the moderation team on something they might have overlooked.
  • Moderators should be very lenient on the "CS Terms of Use" part of the guidelines. In the International Politics group, all point of views are welcome, including the extreme ones. (You can be a nazi, but a polite and considerate one).

Moderator tools

When a moderator runs into something that he interprets as "needing moderation", what should he do?

  1. General warning to all (public)
  2. A warning to the person in breach publicly
  3. Temporary banning for two weeks and an informative message to the group that person in question is temporary banned.
