Tips

Beauvais is an excellent town to get to know French culutre. Not as big and scary as Paris, but not too small either. It is fairly easily accesable by public transportation, and people here, if encouraged, can be very friendly (and of course CSers here ALWAYS try to be friendly!). Beauvais is great for sight seeing (Cathedral), relaxing (huge beautiful 'Canada' Lake-There is a bus to go directly to this nice parc a public bus ligne runs there especially, but only in the summer with 'pedalo' or pedal boats, sand, and Crêpes in the summer as well), shopping (mini Gallerie Laffayette, lots of nice shops, and a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the town center), eating (some pretty good French food in all price ranges, or just plain discovering French life.

For security purposes, CS members in Beauvais will only host members who contact them using CS couchsurfing requests, have a profile photo, have a completed profile, and several good references.

In order to obtain references and discover couchsurfing without actually having to surf a couch, get together for coffee or a drink with local members in your area, or attend a local meeting.
